Fiona Darmon Leaving JVP to Set Up Own Fund

Darmon, who worked for 13 years at Erel Margalit’s venture fund, will be raising a new investment fund specializing in taking advantage of crisis markets. JVP, one of Israel’s prominent VC funds with $1.8 billion in AUM, has invested in 160 companies since its inception in the 90s.

Darmon is one of the top women in the Israeli venture capital industry and served as a partner in the fund, established and managed by Erel Margalit. She joined JVP in 2009 and served as a member of the investment committee and as a member of the board of directors in several of the fund’s portfolio companies.

In a conversation with Israeli financial newspaper Calcalist Darmon said that she will leave the fund in the coming months in favor of establishing her own dedicated investment fund that will specialize in complex transactions while taking advantage of the current crisis situation.
